FIFTH ANNUAL KC BEERFEST TAPS THE LEGENDS OUTLETS
Largest craft beer festival in the Midwest returns with more beer, all for a good cause

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 05, 2011) - The fifth annual KC Beerfest returns to the Legends Outlets this month and is focused on drinking beer for two good causes. The bottles will be opened and the kegs will be tapped on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 2 pm and will last until 5 pm.

Open to the public, this outdoor tasting will feature a variety of the best domestic and imported beers, live music, pretzel necklaces and participation from the Legends Outlets bars and restaurants. Persons 21 years of age and older are invited to attend and will receive a commemorative KC Beerfest sampling glass. Festivalgoers will enjoy two-ounce beer samples from dozens of participating breweries. Event organizers do strongly recommend festivalgoers or beer snobs who want to sample the rarest of beers available to come early.

This session will be located in the parking lot adjacent to the parking garage at Legends Outlets. Tickets are $30 each in advance and are available for purchase online at www.kcbeerfest.com or on KC Beerfest’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/kcbeerfest. Tickets also can be purchased at the event for $35. However, event organizers strongly recommend festivalgoers buy their tickets online because both of last year’s festivals sold out in 30 minutes. Also available are sober driver tickets for persons 21 years of age or older for $10 that include free chair massages and soft drinks.

Major Sponsors of the KC Beerfest include: Q 104, Lukas Liquors, Mix 93.3, Trozzolo Communications, Ripple Glass, Legends Outlets and ink. Proceeds raised by the KC Beerfest benefit the Kansas City Free Health Clinic and the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City, both 501(c)3 organizations.
