Located in the heart of Town Center Shopping Center in Leawood, Kansas is Amore Chocolate Pizza Company.
When Annette Cook started making her chocolate pizzas as "break-a-leg" gifts, she never imagined where it would take her. She started getting such an overwhelmingly positive response when she gave them, she then started making them as holiday gifts for friends and family.
As request grew for her to make the pizzas she decided to pursue the possibility of a business and Amore Chocolate Pizza Company was born.
Willy Wonka has nothing on this places it is a Chocolate lovers dream. The minute you walk in, the delightful chocolate aroma hits you, and is intoxicating.
Amore Chocolate Pizza Company has various sizes of chocolate pizzas in a variety of mouthwatering flavors such as Toffeelicious, Smore Amore, Peanut Butter Dreams and the original Break-a-leg the flavor that started it all. It is filled chocolate, marshmallows, peanuts, crispies topped with coconut, maraschino cherries and white chocolate. (For some reason I am really craving some chocolate now).
Amore offers more than just chocolate pizzas; it is a full dessert café. They have an assortment of chocolate desserts including, cakes, brownies, chocolate pie, chocolate nachos and more. They also have full Espresso services and free Wi Fi.
I had the chance to try a yummy slice of chocolate cake and this most amazing little dessert called the ginger tower. It had these delicious soft gingerbread cookies with layers of creamy filling. I also got try their signature frozen hot chocolate. What a treat! I tell you, I was in chocolate heaven.
Amore is a great place to go when you are craving a treat. They have all sorts of activities. Open mic night is every other Monday at 7:00 p.m., kids open mic is Saturday’s at 2:30 p.m. and cookies stories is Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. There is also variety of board games, cards and chess. Every Friday from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. is chocolate fondue night. Enjoy a buffet of assorted fruits, baked goods, marshmallow and pretzels all waiting to be drenched chocolate! If can’t wait till Friday and want to have a fondue party just call ahead a week or so in advance to schedule it.
Birthday parties, group meetings and special occasions are available to be scheduled as well.
